Message input does not get cleared after sending

Currently the message input on a topic does not get cleared after successfully sending the message.

Users normally expect the message box to be cleared after sending is successful, and staying present when sending fails.

The 'code' send dialog also stays up after sending, though I find this not such an issue, but did want to bring it up anyway.
