PET switching between 80 column and 40 column crash

I have found that if you switch PET models from 80 col (8032) to 40 col (eg 3032) the system crashes. You have to physically edit the vice.ini file to get it to boot a 40 col machine.

Change gpu_mem to 128 in config.txt
