Why is Radian executing even basic commands so slowly for me?

Hi,

I have switched over from R Studio to Visual Studio Code and am using radian. However, the execution of commands is drastically slower on even basic commands (loading packages, reading in data files, viewing basic objects from environment, etc.). Why is this? Has anyone encountered similar issues (I can't find any posts about this issue)? How can I resolve this? Many thanks in advance!
