Set background color for a specific instance

Is it possible to set the background color (or more generally, the entire color scheme) per instance? I would like to distinguish sessions based on their purpose and being able to control the background color would help with this tremendously.

It would be a nice feature request. Though I currently don't have the time and energy to add it.
