@romanliv thanks for submitting this PR. Unless the paho-mqtt dependency is also updated to 2.x, this will break the code/tests. I'm starting to work on overhauling this library to use paho-mqtt v2. I'm not sure how much effort that will be yet, but please bear with me as I catch up 🙏🏽

I decided not to use robot framework in my projects anymore and will hardly contribute to this PR from now on.
