love-ide fails to find love on debian

After installing the love 11.3 appImage on my debian system and moving it to my /bin folder I tried to input /bin/love-11.3-x86_64.AppImage as the path to the love executable, but it still it still says "LOVE executable not found." Is this a known issue or a problem due to how I'm doing something? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
