Exporting tree as newick gives no response.

I am trying to export my tree in newick format for subsequent analysis in TreeTimer. I choose "Save as currently displayed" as I would like to save the tree after rerooting it in FigTree. However, the export yields no response. I tried exporting as PDF and it works, but not as newick nor nexus.

I use MACOS Sonoma and FigTree v1.4.4

Does it export before you reroot it? If you can post the original tree and a sequence of steps that replicates the issue, that would be useful for debugging.

Hello, I also have this same problem where I try to export my tree in newick format and don't have the option to save the file anywhere. I tried to export before re-rooting (didn't do any modifications in FigTree) and still have the same issue. Thank you for your insights and help!
