PersWiFiManager does not work. Howto bypass it and configure wifi manually?

I'm using wemos D1 mini. I can not get the PersWiFiManager to work in my environment. I don't want to use the device in AP mode. I tried vaşrous wifi settings from my AP, none of them worked. PersWiFiManager does not accept empty password for a mac address based wifi security or no security wifi network. How can I enter the ssid and password manually in the sketch and bypass the PersWiFiManager completely?
