HDMI and VGA input issue
Hello again,
I'm having this issue with HDMI and VGA inputs, the screen is not centered, and green border on the left side is visible with some small horizontal lines and the image is "distorted", if I go to the Web UI and then move 1 step to the right the distortion of the image and the horizontal green lines disappear, but i still get a Green vertial line, if i move it or shift it from developers mode to the left because the right side is outside of the visible area the image starts to have a purple tint, also on the borders the image gets distorted again and the right and left side have overscan. All of this with the 100ohms on the Sync to GND rgb line.
Here are some pictures of the issue.
https://ibb.co/Pt9Fz4t Image on step to the right without the green horizontal lines and distortion only on the right side
https://ibb.co/XD77j6r Image all distorted with green H and V lines.
In those images i connected my Xbox 360 trough HDMI 480p and set de GBS-C to downscale to 240p (just for test)
I made all the mods to the board from the hardware mods page.
FYI i tryed another hdmi to VGA but this time is not a passive adapter, its the chinese white box with 5v in, Mini HDMI2VGA, i got image just fine for 2 seconds, and then the image started to scroll vertically, and it then it changes from 15 khz to "pass through", if iclick on 15khz first it goes to 960p then i click again in 15 khz and i got the image just fine for 2 sec and then starts to scroll again...
No help here?
#152 and #194 may help, I have the same issue
#152 and #194 may help, I have the same issue
Thank you! So I made a passive converter https://cdn.retrorgb.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/17150637/Passive-Sync-Combiner.png but didn't work. So i guess i have to build that one instead of this one.
Thank you for the help.
For sure. It seems like a really high point of this project is being able to downscale a VGA source to 240p, but finding info on the best way to actually do that is annoyingly difficult.
I just ordered parts today to build the XOR combiner, I'm curious to see how it works out for you
