Jumping image and audio drops

Open Scyllinice opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Hello,

I have built a device with a clock generator installed and c11 removed and replaced with an electrolytic capacitor.

I have not done the capacitor stacking.

When connecting a PS2 via component cables, everything starts out looking fine, but eventually, the image jumps a bit and glitches. The audio drops out randomly as well.

Any tips on how to isolate this issue? Would the capacitor stacking improve this at all?

Turns out that it was the HDMI adapter. I remembered I had a Sewell Hammerhead laying around and swapped it out. The jumping stopped. The audio drops are still there but now I think it could be coming from something else.

Audio drops still happen. I have bypassed the GBS Control and the drops don't happen in that configuration.

Any ideas as to why audio drops occur?
