Google Cloud platform standard VM

  • 2 vCPU 2G RAM
  • Static internal IP
  • Static external IP
  • Ubuntu 18.04, clean from GCE nothing changed. Install, YES to all, no IPV6, upstream Google DNS

[✓] Installing latest Cron script

[✓] Installing latest logrotate script [i] Backing up /etc/dnsmasq.conf to /etc/dnsmasq.conf.old [✓] man pages installed and database updated [i] Testing if systemd-resolved is enabled [✓] Disabling systemd-resolved DNSStubListener and restarting systemd-resolved [✓] Restarting lighttpd service... [✓] Enabling lighttpd service to start on reboot... [i] Restarting services... [✓] Enabling pihole-FTL service to start on reboot... [✓] Restarting pihole-FTL service... [i] Creating new gravity database [i] Migrating content of /etc/pihole/adlists.list into new database [✓] Deleting existing list cache [✗] DNS resolution is currently unavailable [i] Time until retry: 38g [i] Time until retry: 36^C

Uninstall, install again --> give up! Any help please. Steve

You're using an old guide - try this (dummy) https://github.com/rajannpatel/Pi-Hole-on-Google-Compute-Engine-Free-Tier-with-Full-Tunnel-and-Split-Tunnel-Wireguard-VPN-Configs
