Option to hide the menubar icon

Open detrophy opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Hi there,

Some of us already have many menubar icons for all sorts of information and this app is configured once. It doesn't need any additional configuration afterwards. Like many other apps that actually don't need an always visible icon in the menu bar, this also can be "just there when you need it". An example app: https://github.com/MonitorControl/MonitorControl

You could use an app to hide menu bar icons like Dozer: https://github.com/Mortennn/Dozer . This is not a "permanent solution" per se, but temporal that could work for you. Hopefully this feature gets added later!

Any update to this? Seems like a simple implementation.

This might not be an option for all but I use Bartender to hide all items in my bar, it is only $15. https://www.macbartender.com

I would be already happy if there was an option to only show the shield icon (without the "Raivo" text) in the menubar. Without the text, Raivo would only use 1/3 precious menubar space
