Support for ncspot remote control (IPC)
As noted by @741nfect in #37, interacting with ncspot on macOS is currently not possible. However, ncspot has its own IPC protocol (docs) and it should be possible to make it work with sptlrx.
+1 for ncspot. I was just searching for some console lyrics because I use ncspot for spotify. using the default client defies the whole purpose for me cause I can just open the lyrics in the spotify client / on the website. I wanted separate lyrics solution specifically to be able to see the lyrics while playing music through ncspot because ncspot doesn't have lyrics.
Just to clarify I'm using Arch Linux with ncspot, not mac. I see people have mentioned mac here but ncspot is a console client for Linux as well, so I suppose the number of people using it will be greater than what we think. And having the ability to run sptlrx together with ncspot would be awesome since then you're essentially having completely console-like environment to listen to music & see the lyrics.

You can already use sptlrx with ncspot on Linux; just set the player to mpris in sptlrx config or use the --player mpris flag.
oh thanks I didn't figure that, will try! that's great news :D
