The user should be able to define their colorblindness variant.

This is my understanding of that Issue:

The user should be able to define (from a select) his color blindness type from that list:

  • Monochromacy
    • Achromatopsia
  • Dichromacy
    • Protanopia
    • Deuteranopia
    • Tritanopia
  • Anomalous Trichromacy
    • Protanomaly
    • Deuteranomaly
    • Tritanomaly

I suppose we want to have a class added to the body for the selected type?

This settings should be available on the extensions options page & saved to localstorage.

Exactly! Although we should ensure that the labels are a bit more 'friendly' in the sense that they can be annotated with the simple explanation (red - green) etc.

Also, chrome at least has a new storage API that is worth checking out because it syncs automatically with the user's other instances of chrome.
