Raindrop closes on opening on mac os x 10.11
On an iMac with an updated 10.11 operating system, the latest version closes immediately when you try to open it. I do not see any diagnostic report in console, but if the following lines: 31/8/21 10:04:47,430 bird[395]: LaunchServices: Failed to create bundleProxy for bundle io.raindrop.macapp.helper 31/8/21 12:09:22,466 Raindrop.io Helper (GPU)[3082]: [12:09:22.464] vtDecompressionDuctCreate signalled err=-8973 (err) (Could not select and open decoder instance) at /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/CoreMedia_frameworks/CoreMedia-1731.15.207/Sources/VideoToolbox/VTDecompressionSession.c line 1296 31/8/21 12:09:22,956 Raindrop.io Helper (GPU)[3082]: <<<< VTVideoEncoderSelection >>>> VTSelectAndCreateVideoEncoderInstanceInternal: no video encoder found for 'avc1' 31/8/21 12:09:22,931/8/21 12:09:26,504 com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (com.apple.xpc.launchd.oneshot.0x10000014.Raindrop.io[3078]) Service exited due to signal: Segmentation fault: 11 56 Raindrop.io Helper (GPU)[3082]: [12:09:22.956] VTCompressionSessionCreate signalled err=-12908 (err) (Could not select and open encoder instance) at /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/CoreMedia_frameworks/CoreMedia-1731.15.207/Sources/VideoToolbox/VTCompressionSession.c line 1003 I have first tried deleting all raindrop folders from my user library, with the same result. The previous version does open, but it is automatically updated to the same unusable version. I do not understand that mania with forcing everyone to update, especially when in many cases they end up with an incompatible version.
I'm talking about version 5.4.2 of Raindrop
Is it a bug in the program that you can fix, or have the requirements changed? I think that in another mac with Catalina I have already updated without major problem. Do they really check to see if the program is still compatible or is it totally random?
