Feature requests; reverse search, tab switching and tab coloring.
I'm a developer and since I administer a handful of servers (although I'm not a sysadmin), Upterm looks something I would love to use. There are three things that currently stop me from using Upterm:
- Reverse search (Ctrl+R) doesn't work.
- I can't find quick keys to switch tabs. I would prefer to have Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right to switch tabs easily.
- The tabs are not easily distinguishable. I just see a very small grey tab number, which means it's not easy for me to see in which tab I'm currently typing. I always have about 5 tabs open to easily switch between testing and production machines, and with this
What I would love to have is for the tabs to automatically get a color, depending which ssh host I'm connected to. That way it would be easy for me to see which tabs are connected to production (red) and which ones to testing (green) and which ones are local (no color).
For the rest; you guys will probably get a lot of shit for building a terminal on Electron, but I think you can really add to the ecosystem. So keep up the good work!
Hey, @kramer65. Ctrl+R
should work in the latest release. Please use Cmd+[
and Cmd+]
to switch tabs. As for coloring, I agree it's a useful feature, but I also don't think it'll be implemented any time soon, sorry about that.
