Student RSVP submission Error

After submission to RSVP as a student, the page uploaded to an error.

Page Error Message:

"The page you were looking for doesn't exist. You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved."

I have reports for the same issue for event https://www.bridgetroll.org/events/338

The person that reported this issue to me was finally able to sign up. They said the following:

The thing that seemed to work was unchecking the Send me notifications box at the bottom of the registration page.

Hi 👋 @hfenton @junwenzhong I'm taking a look at this bug and having some trouble replicating the issue. It sounds like something went wrong during the POST request to 'https://www.bridgetroll.org/events/339/rsvps', but what I don't know.

If you have the chance, could you visit https://www.bridgetroll.org/events and try RSVP'ing to an upcoming event as a test? Don't worry about the fact you won't actually be attending this event; just make sure to cancel your RSVP later.

Let me know what day + time you attempt the RSVP (I want to see if any errors pop up on the server logs), which event you select, whether you 'Join the student waitlist' or 'Attend as a student', and each option you select on the RSVP form. After clicking submit, what happens? Are you still getting an error?

@medwards1771 I have rsvp'd to https://www.bridgetroll.org/events/352/rsvps/

Here are the things I selected:

  • Attend as student
  • Mac OS X - Sierra
  • Class Level Purple
  • Check Installfest
  • Check Future notifications
  • Check Code of Conduct
  • Submit

I did not receive an error.
