Hot wire

Hi Keith,

I have build the machine using your video with arduino mega2560, ramps board. I am also using grbl5. Unfortunately my hotwire does not get hot. I am setting temp 12V in the software output from d8 which is perfectly works i can read the 12v output with multimeter.

Here is my wire specs: 90 cm length, 30 GA( 0.25 mm diameter) nichrome 27 ohms measured for the given length and diameter

With this specs (12 = 27. I) I get 0.44 amps which is not even warming the wire. Can you tell me how much current do i need ?
