zapzap Rendering problem (Black screen)

Guess it happened after I changed the theme in the own WhatsApp configs. I changed once, then when restarted, the theme was changed again, then I changed back, and at some point this happened. Tried rebooting, reinstalling, but nothing. I also deleted my .oh_my_zsh folder and changed the chsh thing, but can't see how could be related.

Flatpak version, btw.

Please run the execution via the terminal and send the logs.

I believe switching to X11 in the flatseal might help temporarily.

I also use NVIDIA GPU and X11 graphics server. However, on my Kubuntu 24.04 the proprietary drivers were properly installed using Canonical's additional driver tool.

There is no sensitive data, don't worry. Are you using AMD? This error is usually related to Vulkan + Wayland on AMD systems.

GTX 1650, on a Acer Nitro 5 laptop (the old model). It is kinda picky, KDE is messed up on it too.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I have tried the solutions above; adding the environment variable QTWEBENGINE_FORCE_USE_GBM=0. I am using Xorg. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Nothing seams to work. The app even worked fine as I was receiving messages and notifications, but I just am not able to see the centre page.

I've noticed the same behavior after last update and was using Linux Mint 22.1 Xia with my dedicated NVIDIA card. I've tried reisntall Zapzap but the error remained. Then, I've switched to my onboard Intel card and after logout/login back, volià! Zapzap started to work normaly again.

Are you using AppImage with the fix?

I am using the AppImage download from your site - not sure if that one includes 'the fix' or not? It does work, though.

This worked for me as well. Which is why I suspect the Nvidia driver might be in play?

For me (mint 22.2) the issues started with Nvidia as well. Workaround (temp) was to change from Nvidia performance to Nvidia on demand, or Intel

Hola. Saludos a todos y perdón por la intromisión. Reiterarme en lo dicho en varios comentarios. En mi caso un laptop Asus, después de leer los comenarios y ver que mi problema era el mismo. Cambié la posibilidaad de Nvidia a Intel y empezó a ser todo normal, como antes. Creo que "a demanda" también funciona. Gracias a todos y al creador deZapZap.

After update of xorg-server in gentoo, i went out of nvidia card, only software rendering, the flatpak run as intended, of course i cant live on cpu and a fix for xorg was released today. Surpise, black screen also. In wayland everything works great tho.
