It turns out libGDX 1.14.0 may not have needed many changes, but Gradle, JitPack, LWJGL, etc. all needed attention too. I also took the liberty of removing textramode mentions from the README.md since it's archived in favor of TextraTypist, and mentioned some reasons why you could prefer Typing-Label to TextraTypist.

~~I have no idea why this can't automatically merge; I'll try to resolve merge conflicts in the PR if you want.~~ Already fixed!
