Why separate jsdoc and tsdoc into their own language?

I'm struggling a lot with the fact that jsdoc and tsdoc snippets are separated into their own language section. Why not putting snippets like /** and /* into javascript and typescript snippets section? I'm the only one that has no completions for this?
