Can't press virtual A and B at the same time

Problem:
With the on-screen controls I'm unable to press 2 face buttons (a,b,x,y) at the same time. This only happens within the same "control module", pressing a direction and a button for example works fine.

This makes Mario & Luigi basically unbeateable for me.

Steps to reproduce (if applicable):

1. In Mario & Luigi: Bowser inside story, get to some part of the game where you have control of Mario and Luigi
2. Press and hold A to make mario jump
3. Press B to try to make Luigi jump, or even X to try and control Bowser
4. It either does nothing or presses the button you are holding (A in this case)

I think it's fixed in the nightly builds, but I haven't tested it so I'm not sure
