Microphone is linked to the touch screen by default
- Device model: Pixel 7 Pro
- Android version: 13
Problem:
On a clean install/setup, if the microphone feature is turned on, it 'blows' when the screen is touched.
i.e. Playing through Hotel Dusk: Room 215; there is a puzzle where you smear a powder on an engraving to read the text.
If you blow the powder off, all the powder comes off, showing nothing and failing the puzzle.
You're supposed to tap the screen a few times, but as that seems to trigger the microphone; the puzzle still fails even if you're doing it right.
Steps to reproduce (if applicable): Issue is not game specific, but this was the scenario I found;
- Play though Chapter 3 until you have been given a pen.
- Go to the kitchen and use the pen on the leaking bag of flower, or on the chalk on the chalk board outside the kitchen hallway.
- Rub the powder on the pen, then the puzzle will advance to removing the powder. 'Blow' the pen, and all the powder flies off revealing nothing and failing the puzzle. (Expected)
- Repeat step 2-3, but tap the pen instead. The same scenario as above occurs, again triggering a failure. (Not expected).
This has a work around; turn the Microphone Source to None. Then the puzzle words as expected. Though there was nothing to state that the mic is triggered by touching; so I thought I was doing the puzzle wrong. Eventually I figured out it was the mic setting.
