Container tabs confused with alert badges

First off, I love the theme. An issue I have is that container tabs look like they have alert badges (not sure the term). For example, the tab on the left (green circle) is in a container tab, while the one on the right (blue dot) actually has a notification (new Matrix message).

I tried messing around in customChrome.css, but I only figured out how to make the green circle larger/smaller -- I'm no CSS guru, for sure!

My personal ideal would be for the green to be an underline on the tab (like it is in default Firefox), and make the alert badge be the larger circle. But, if anyone can give me some help overriding the CSS to help distinguish these 2, I'd appreciate it!
