Completions for cider-doc don't work

Currently you have to type a character, press TAB, and then type another character in order to be presented with completions. There should be completions as soon as you type C-c C-c C-d, M-., etc.

Flashing forward a few years, the symptom has changed. You just don't get any completions now. This is because instead of completing-read, CIDER is using a weird thing where it sets a custom completion-at-point-functions in the minibuffer. Not worth fixing at the moment.

Closing as stale: I no longer use Clojure, and nobody else has complained about this issue.
