isearch-repeat-forward?

Open incandescentman opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

How do I repeat the search to find the next match?

When I do s-g (bound to isearch-repeat-forward), it gives me "s-g is undefined". And I don't see a function like ctrlf-repeat-forward.

I figured it out. The function is called ctrlf-next-match.

(define-key ctrlf-mode-map (kbd "s-g") 'ctrlf-next-match)

Is there a way to run ctrlf-next-match AFTER exiting out of ctrl-f? I routinely do isearch-forward, exit out of search, make edits, and then run isearch-repeat-forward to go to the next match.

In ctrlf, when I do ctrlf-forward-default, then hit RETURN to exit and make edits... then when I do ctrlf-next-match, it has no effect. Would I then have to do start over with ctrlf-forward-default and type the search term all over again?

Does C-s C-s do what you want?
