Kubernetes and Istio

  • Deploy two RabbitMQ clusters in the same name-space
  • Canary Update with TCP (AMQP) traffic management
  • HTTP (Management UI) traffic redirect Here is an example: https://github.com/Gsantomaggio/k8s/tree/wip/rabbitmq_traffic

This is a great idea, I love it!

Since I don't want to act as a blocker for great ideas going public - like yours! - I made this:

How to record a TGIR video How to record a TGIR video

I can guarantee that if you produce your own TGIR video it will be uploaded and shared quicker than if it will be waiting on me to record it. Based on the current schedule, I expect us to have the first K8S video out in May, so June would be the first month when this can come out... unless people start recording their own videos, and then we can go for a more frequent schedule - I'm thinking every 2 weeks.

Really excited to cover this topic in a future TGIR, regardless of the timeline 😉

This just came up again via a Slack thread with @eldada:

I might have 100s of small RMQs in a cluster. I can’t afford a dedicated public IP for each one.

Still very much relevant and a nice build-up from #14 & #12

Another good TGIR in the making, I can feel it 😉
