@michaelklishin search.html is still there, but there is no form. Should something be implemented to use Google search via site:rabbitmq.com? I use that frequently and it seems to work well enough.

@lukebakken seems have been implemented in the past but is no longer supported! I think it would be useful even a simple search as its the first action people will take when wanting specific information Screenshot 2022-03-31 at 11.10.28.png

There is a search capability on the blogging site on rabbitmq.com: https://blog.rabbitmq.com/search?s=quorum+queues added by @acogoluegnes maybe we could mirror that if it is working well

Additional suggestion: Also I think moving/restructuring the existing Table of Contents on the RabbitMQ.com site would be useful.

What happens now:

  1. Go to https://www.rabbitmq.com/documentation.html
  2. Select an topic from the Table of Contents (which runs vertically down the page - have to scroll to see it all)
  3. Is this topic that I want - maybe not, how do I get back to the Table of Contents - Go to the "Docs" tab will take you back

Maybe we could change to this:

  1. Have a collapsable Table of Contents on the left of the page with very clear H1 headings and having a sequential flow (as far as it can be implemented).
  2. Select the topic, it is displayed on the right pane.
  3. If it isn't the one you want, you have an easy way to get back/you can see where you are/where you want to go next...
