Data catalogue: should this be maintained as part of the package; which data sets to include? Broad coverage, or selective?
To start with, let us focus on the following data in the overall functionality
- data.stat.fi municipality data and derivative levels (derivative levels such as ERVA districts will be just added as vignette aggregation examples at first; wrappers later as needed)
- Postal code regions PAAVO
- MML (Paituli): with and without coastal lines
- generic getters for any standard format data
- population grid
- population register #13
Later:
- election districts #12 (not available country-wide atm, though; therefore inclusion to geofi is problematic)
- vaalipiirit #7 (can be obtained by aggregation, see #4 )
- sairaanhoitopiirit #6 (can be obtained by aggregation, see #4 )
Link or incorporate other possible (open) data resources/catalogs:

It would be helpful for package development if the available key data resources (many listed above), and decisions to include/exclude in geofi, where clearly listed, perhaps with brief explanation if the seemingly important data set (election districts?) is excluded. We could add these in the Rmd vignette or in a Wiki. I might have slight preference to vignette.
In Yle's result service for the 2019 elections they obtained the election districts for the whole country:

Where were they obtained from? Are polling district (äänestysalueet) (outside major towns) available as open data?
