Settings not applied in FF 57.0 64bit
If I set "direct" connection the FF configuration is applied. I remember that for the previous version of FF this did not happen.
Thanks for the wonderful and usefull extension
I'm not 100% sure that my issue is the same as this - the title matches what I'm experiencing, but I'm a bit confused by the description... Anyway, here's my problem.
I just upgraded Firefox (to 57.0.2 64-bits). Proxy-switcher was automatically updated to 0.1.8. The interface is working as it always did before, with the expected limitations because of the switch to webextensions.
The problem is that changing the proxy via the Proxy Switcher toolbar button does not seem to have any effect on Firefox's actual proxy configuration, which remains set to whatever is defined in about:preferences. In other words, the addon seems to do nothing at all...
This is the same for me.
The problem I've encountered was: if a proxy was configured inside the settings of FF and also inside proxy-switcher, when I changed the proxy-switcher from a proxy connection to a direct connection the FF setting was kept. So, what I've done to make proxy-switcher work properly was:
- set "no proxy" in FF settings
- configured proxy-switcher
Installed Proxy Switcher and Manager 0.1.8
to FF 57.0.2
(64-bit) on Windows 10 Enterprise
. Most of it works fine in the Non-Private Window
mode, but cannot select the options of Auto-Detect
& PAC Script
. Well in Private Window
mode, it malfunctions completely, nothing works. Cannot select any of the options: Direct
, Auto-Detect
, System proxy
, Manual proxy
& PAC Script
.
Below is the screenshot in the Private Window
mode:
Click any of those options, it always shows the same content under those options, nothing change. After entering some info, cannot save.
PS: The legacy version for FF before Version 57
works perfect in both Non-Private Window
& Private Window
modes.
