Your geometry is of class GEOMETRY
, meaning a mix of things, in this case POLYGON
and MULTIPOLYGON
. Casting to MULTIPOLYGON
works:
mapview(st_cast(x, "MULTIPOLYGON"))
We now try to get the st_dimension()
of an object more carefully using try(sf::st_dimension())
. If we encounter an error, we st_cast()
which makes this example work. However, I don't know how robust this is for other (edge) cases...
