I'm always wary of "in the future" usage in documentation without a specific work tracker backing it up -- it feels like either (a) this will never actually happen or (b) it might already have happened and this vignette just didn't happen to get updated.

Is there a specific GitHub issue on any package linked to this claim? If so, I recommend linking it.
