Should vec_trunc() be shorter by default?

I'd expect more like 20, than 100.

Maybe. There is probably no single number that fits all use cases. But 100 is quite a lot.

It might also be worth having an secondary option that's the total width in characters — 100 numbers is very different to 100 strings with 100 characters each.
