Citizen CBM 1000 II works on Windows, but not on Linux/MacOS (CUPS)

Testing a Citizen CBM 1000 II with the driver on Windows works fine, but when connected to Ubuntu 20.04, the printer will not print.

If the printer is power-cycled off, then on, the last print job will come through, but then it won't print the next job until the printer is power-cycled again.

I have a feeling that CUPS is either truncating or adding character(s) to the data, causing an interruption after the printer is initiated, but this isn't evident from the logs or the .prn file in Windows.
