Spotify app not showing in media widget

Spotify on Firefox seems to show up fine, as well as playing YouTube through Firefox.

This only happens when I set the media player to show in quick settings.

The first image is of the default notification view, the second is the quick settings, and the third is the quick settings when i shut down Firefox.

I have a feeling it's an issue specific to my machine, but I'm creating an issue just in case anyone else can recreate the issue?

yeah, ideally I'd like to disable the media control in the date menu, but I can't until Spotify media control shows up in the quick settings 🤷

I should mention as well I've tried the snap version of Spotify as well as flatpak, same issue. is there a blacklist or whitelist for media control? Maybe spotify is blacklisted on my machine for some reason...

Same here with Audacious, which is shown in the date menu, but not in the quick settings. Other apps like Gapless and Clapper appear in both places.

Happens on Ubuntu 24.10 with v2.1.29.
