A few notes for anyone following this guide in 2020

  • Clover repo moved: https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader/releases
  • Use VoodooPS2 from here: https://github.com/acidanthera/VoodooPS2/releases/tag/2.1.3 for full trackpad gesture support. Version 2.1.3 worked the best for me, 2.1.4 caused lag while dragging and randomly disabled trackpoint.
  • Use the latest available versions for all other kexts.
  • Font rendering on 1366x768 displays is kinda broken, but setting CGFontRenderingFontSmoothingDisabled to NO only makes it worse (grey text becomes unreadable if dark mode is enabled). Setting AppleFontSmoothing to 1 or 2 makes it a bit better.
  • I tried to get the audio working with AppleALC - speakers worked fine with layout 28, but plugging in headphones resulted in shrieks from hell, so i went with the patched AppleHDA in the end (works well and I didn't encounter the headphones power saving bug so far, so I skipped the workaround part). If anyone had the same issue with AppleALC and figured it out, please let me know.

Fully working intel wifi Install kext to L/E Autostart Heliport at login

Fully working audio jack and headphones also. Sleep/wake working, sd card reader working. It's my EFI, based on a T450 EFI folder, mixed with x250 files, the result is fully working laptop. With Tuxera NTFS 2018 i can write windows partitions.

@velkeibalesz Good stuff ! Can confirm, the Intel WiFi is working great. Maybe you can create a pull request, so it will become part of the repo 🙌

What behaves completely weird in my setup for now is the TouchPad (treats normal click as "click through / space bar" action in Finder and no gestures working, TrackPoint slower than I remember from my X230) but besides that everything looking great so far! Did someone of you try moving towars OpenCore , maybe even BigSur?

I followed all instructions In the master repo and over here In the issues but my install gets stuck In the clover bootloader as soon as I press "Install Mojave".
