Alfred snippts are not expanded in VimR

Alfred has a feature that provides auto replaces strings with "expanded" text, for instance I type :datetime: and it gets auto expanded to "September 13, 2021 10:21:26 AM PDT". This feature works fine with most if not all apps, Terminal, iTerm, Mail, Safari, Firefox, etc. For some reason strings in VimR don't get expanded.
