Apple Music Refuses to play songs/continuously skips

Open pgr4addict opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

So after a long time I eventually managed to get Mac OS working on my think centre. Literally everything works except Apple Music. I log in, It syncs my library but when I press play it'll do one of two things, it'll have the play icon but nothing with actually play. Or it'll freak out and randomly skip songs in a playlist every Half a second. I've tried downloading songs, removing my iCloud, listening to music that is not in my library and I'm getting the same result. Spotify, YouTube works flawlessly. Note, this happens no matter what audio output I select it to, whether that be through bluetooth or the built in speaker. I have tried to google the issue, but most articles are from 2008 or its just abandoned articles that just end with 'make sure you log out and log back in with your iCloud'

I don't think there's going to be much help. Afaik the issue of you not getting smooth playback on Apple Music is because your system relies solely on the Intel 630 UHD to decode - and the only authorised systems to do that are IGPU-free setups equipped with AMD cards according to Acidanthera.

You could try to disable lossless quality output on the Apple Music and see if it helps, but I doubt if it works.
