Make "renaming" of radio streams easier
Original issue 558 created by drachenzauberei on 2010-08-11T16:23:08.000Z:
Some internet radio stations have streams with a title when I add them, e.g. "Vox Noctem", others provide URL+Port only. I can't find a way to rename streams in QL. The URL+Port scheme makes it hard to quickly find a given stream in a list of streams. It's easier to remember names than IPs and numbers.
So my feature request is to be able to rename streams.
--- QL 2.2.1, Ubuntu 10.04 (32 Bit)/Windows 7 (64 Bit), Unterstützte Formate: mod, mp3, mp4, mpc, spc, trueaudio, wav, wavpack, wma, xiph, Audiogerät: gconfaudiosink profile=music, Mutagen: 1.19.-1, GTK+: 2.20.1 / PyGTK: 2.17.0, GStreamer: 0.10.28.0 / PyGSt: 0.10.18

Right-click and choose 'edit tags'.
What did you try instead? We'll add support for it to make this more intuitive.

I did look there, but didn't attribute tags with the stream's URL. Now I added a tag field named title and saved it, worked fine. Problem solved, thanks.
One way to make it easier would be to allow the use of F2 for renaming within the Radio Browser.
