Review and release interface
This issue is to discuss and comment on the review and release interface.
- Dropdowns are not nice. Dropdowns are tiresome UI elements for frequent actions.
- For choosing the assignment, it would be really nice, if we would have a route, or if at least the assignment chosen would be saved in a cookie and thus stays. Thus if you refresh to see if there are new reviews, you end up with the same assignment.
- For approving an assignment, it would be preferable to have 3 buttons Approve, Reject, Revision.
- On review, for students with released reviews, it would be helpful to show if the result, instead of the released button.
- To avoid pending reviews and double reviews, maybe if the system requires n reviews, it should not be possible to concurrently edit more than n reviews.
- In review, it would be very useful, to see, the author of pending reviews.
For discussion: What would make reviewing easier?
- Should there be a button to mark a submission as not submitted?
- Should there be a button to start reviewing to prevent accidentally starting a review, that is then shown as not finished?
- Would it be easier to have the "Mark as ready" button at the end of the review?
- Would it be good to highlight all students for which you have a review pending?
- Would it be good to have sorting or filtering to only show students that do not have a review yet?
- Other crazy ideas?
Note that the purpose of this is to discuss useful features, with no guarantee that all (or any) will be implemented.
In the macOS client (WIP) we intend to present the criteria list in the rightmost area depending on which student/group is chosen in the middle navigator. Is this, a dropdown, or a overlaying window preferable?

- Would it be good to highlight all students for which you have a review pending? Yes, or a symbol next to (1/1) that implies that the review is marked as ready.
Other ideas:
- Assignments that are not manually reviewed does not appear in the assignment selector in review.
- Hitting "Mark as ready" collapses the list?
@JosteinLindhom Just wanted to bring your attention to this issue in case you didn't already consider Leander's requests here.
Check if bullets from discussion are implemented.
