Feature Request: Trimming options on video and audio playback

It would be great to have more control over the video and audio playback like adding trimmers (where the video/audio starts and stops) to the video/audio player. Sometimes you just want to show a section of the video or play only part of the audio file. These trimmer handles would allow for such operation.

This would definitely be a nice to have if we can find the time to get around to it.
