"Notes/Details" portion is not being shown in the notification panel with the calendar event notification

"Show event description" option in the "Notification Settings" tab within the app is turned on. But still on my device (Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus running Oreo 8.0.0), "Notes/Details" portion is not being shown in the notification panel with the calendar event notification. But before on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (running Marshnallow) the "Notes/Details" portion also used to be shown with the calendar event notification on the notification panel. Can this be fixed please?
