Async function calls to get cell values in Python

noted by @davidkircos: better handling of async function calls to get cell values, right now we are doing string replaces to try and make it so the end user doesn't need to think about it

edit: unsure on purpose of this issue, would require David's elaboration (if someone knows purpose of this issue please feel free to edit)
