Does this work on the Purism Librem13?

I'm about to buy a Purism Librem13, but I definitely want three-finger drag on it. Do you know if this also works on PureOS on the Purism laptops?

Wow, the Librem 13 looks like an interesting device. The Librem series seem to be using a BYD touchpad initially and then switched to ELAN touchpads (see this post)

If the latest version of Librem 13 still uses a BYD touchpad, this 3-finger-dragging based on xf86-input-synaptics may not work; however it seems some work is being done to have the BYD touchpad supported (see Launchpad bug 1424293 )

If Librem 13 uses an ELAN touchpad, this 3-finger-dragging xf86-input-synaptics may work (I vaguely recall using this on a laptop with an ELAN touchpad, but I need to confirm ... )

Thanks for responding! I asked on the forum if anybody can this it on the Librem 13v2: https://forums.puri.sm/t/can-anybody-with-a-librem-13v2-test-this-driver/1408

In the meantime, did you find any information on whether it worked on an ELAN touchpad before?

I tested on an EEE PC 1005HA, which has an ElanTech touchpad. The driver works (after the usual procedure of putting a rule file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ to use synaptics instead of libinput for the touchpad. This change is needed on newer systems including Ubuntu Mate 17.10)

If you're wondering what the EEE PC's system info looks like... screenshot at 2017-09-19 01-59-28

The driver also works on Acer SA5-271, which has an Acer Chicony Hawaii Type Cover (not sure if it's a Synaptic or not ...)

It seems to me the synaptics X driver is compatible with various models of touchpads ... not limited to Synaptics touchpads.
