Hi. Thanks for your work! I've actually had a similar idea for a while with #46, but I see no reason not to do both. I've got a lot going on IRL right now, so I'll give your PR a more thorough look a bit later (perhaps over the weekend).

I actually just implemented global settings and going to add an installation path option (doing this right in this PR)
