stress testing from time to time

Stress testing the network to see how it works with 100+ members in one channel could prevent big issues later on. It could clarify the potential need of certain tools (e.g. anti spam), determine RAM and CPU usage, explore client crashes etc

It'd be nice to be able to run a stress test programmatically vs. opening up a bajillion tabs, too

You can push it by posting links to the chat in forums (e.g. reddit, 4chan, neogaf), since it is easy to use, people will stick to it, simply link "https://chat.echoplex.us/e3" and they can start chatting for example.
