Need to update Playstore ?

I have a clean formatted android device. I put the QPython APK on an SD card and install the application. The application tells me that if i want to use it, i need to update playstore. Why ?

The device isn't connected to the internet. And the script i want to run also does not need an internet connection. What has Python to do with playstore?

I feel this app isn't pure. I feel that there is a lot of unnecessary junk attached to it. I am going to look for another solution.

That's strange, did you install QPython from google play?
