2D solver / SPICE solver switch
There seems to be an unnecessary separation between the 2D solver and SPICE solver. Any problem that can be configured as a 2-diode problem can be solved using SPICE. Would be good to include a switch to either solve using the internal, SolCore 2D solver or write a Spice .cir file, solve using SPICE and read the result. At present the SPICE integration is strongly orientated towards modules and 2D resistance networks.
Well, I guess I didn't thought it was necessary to use SPICE to solve a simple 2-diode equation. What's to be gained? What's the use case? I agree it might be useful for testing purposes and to compare results, but other than that, I'm not sure of the benefits of using SPICE to solve a 1D, 2-diode problem.
