Missing copyright holder information, and COPYRIGHT/COPYING/LICENSE file

I know, that README.md states:

License

Released under the MIT License.

However, this is not enough from legal point of view, as it's missing copyright holder. In some countries, it's not possible to have anonymous license for an anonymous work. Ie. it must be clearly stated, who is issuing license, and for what work.

Also, having COPYRIGHT/COPYING/LICENSE in root of the repository would strengthten feeling, that this project is safe to use from legal point of view.

Legals are annoying,.. but, people caring about their projects, wouldn't like to compromise project's future by using dependencies with potential legal holes/exploits.
