PIP not working, video plays but will not stay open

Oops. Sorry I meant to left more in the description.

I'm using 3.0.1, on iOS 17.2.1 (this happened on 17.2 as well)

Sometimes this would happen previously, but I could maximize the video and it would properly go into PiP mode at that point. Now nothing helps, not a restart not making the video full screen. The video just always goes into the background.

I've also tried disabling background playback but alas it just stops the playback entirely.

I had this issue and just needed to reboot my phone. It was an OS issue for me.

Having the same issue with uYou 3.0.3 , Youtube 19.21.2, and iOS 17.5.1 . Even enabling the PiP button and clicking it does nothing. Also have youtube premium and the regular premium PiP works in the unmodified youtube app
